practice. Job Overview: We are currently seeking to fill a
full-time position for an AVP of Network Security within the
Security Architecture and Engineering team, part of LPL's
Technology Information Security organization. This individual will
focus on complex, enterprise-level security and networking
projects, standards creation and enforcement, and network security
governance. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded
security-focused background, demonstrated IT security and
architecture expertise, and the ability to autonomously manage
projects. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and administer network security continuous
monitoring and governance solutions.
- Evaluate security posture and make recommendations to ensure
compliance with organizational security standards.
- Assess information security systems and processes to identify
potential risk gaps and compliance issues.
- Document network security solution architectures; identify
visibility, observability, and control gaps.
- Partner with Enterprise and Security Architecture teams to
ensure proposed solutions adhere to defined specifications.
- Conduct research to keep abreast of the latest industry trends,
topics, and security issues.
- Member of on-call rotation to support response to information
security incidents.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as

- Demonstrated hands-on experience with network security
solutions including CASB/Web Proxy, NDR (ExtraHop), and NAC.
- 5-8 years of hands-on design, configuration, and delivery
experience with network security solutions.
- 5-8 years of experience with automation tooling such as Ansible
or Terraform and scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Excellent ability to document and diagram solutions and
infrastructure using Lucid or Visio.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and
distill root causes of issues and provide solutions. Core
Competencies:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer
service skills, and presentation skills required. Preferences:
- Preferred experience with Netskope, ExtraHop, Palo Alto and/or
Fortinet Firewalls.
- Foundational understanding of risk management and compliance
frameworks such as NIST 800-53 or CSF, CIS, ISO 27001.
- Strong understanding of cloud architectures, design, and
workload transition challenges.
- Industry relevant security certifications: CISSP,
CCNP-Security, PCNSE, or NSE (strongly preferred, but not
required).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
Pay Range: $119,000.00 - $198,300.00 Actual base salary varies
based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill,
prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers,
demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Additionally,
